Phil Barker and Lorna Campbell will be presenting at this year’s OCW (Open Course Ware) Consortium Global conference http://conference.ocwconsortium.org/2014/ in Ljubljana, Slovenia (lucky for some) on the 24th April. Their presentation “Learning Resource Metadata Initiative: using schema.org to describe open educational resources”  will outline the current LRMI work on ensuring open educational resources have relevant embedded metadata, making them more discoverable by search engines. Phil and Lorna will discuss the progress of the project, how it differs from more conventional metadata approaches and demonstrate how it may be used to build search engines tailored to the discovery on the open web of resources that meet  specific learning requirements.
